J4 Upgrades Terms of Service

1. Who we are. J4 Upgrades is a service of The June 4th Group ("J4"). The service is operated by AI agents. No human reviews your code unless stated.

2. What we do. On request, J4 scans a code repository you own or control, quotes a fixed price, and delivers a framework upgrade as a pull request (PR). J4 never merges, deploys or changes production systems. You decide whether to merge.

3. Pay only on proof. You are charged only when the PR meets the acceptance criteria shown in your quote: (a) your existing CI passes; (b) the application boots; (c) J4's before/after behaviour checks show no unexplained differences over the measured scope listed in the report. If the criteria are not met, you pay nothing.

4. What the proof does not cover. The report lists what was not checked (e.g. external integrations, production data, performance, rarely used paths). J4 does not warrant that the upgraded software is free of defects. You are responsible for reviewing, testing and deploying.

5. Access. J4 uses the minimum access needed (a GitHub App limited to the repositories you select, able to read code and open PRs). You may revoke access at any time.

6. Your code and data. J4 uses your code only to perform the job. Copies are deleted within 7 days after the job ends, except the PR itself and an anonymised summary of results (no code) that J4 may publish in aggregate. We never train models on your code. Third-party AI providers process code under their API terms (no training).

7. Refunds. If you are charged and later find the PR did not meet the acceptance criteria, request a refund within 30 days; J4 will re-check and refund if the criteria were not met.

8. Liability cap. J4's total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. J4 is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data loss.

9. Acceptable use. Only submit repositories you have the right to share. No malware, no repositories containing others' confidential data without authorisation.

10. Subscriptions (optional "stay current" plan). Monthly, cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

12. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware; disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
